Who are we?
The Shire of Silver Rylle is a local branch of the Society for
Creative Anachronism (SCA). The shire's boundaries are roughly those
of Lebanon and Lancaster counties in south-central Pennsylvania.

The Shire of Silver Rylle is a part of the East Kingdom of the SCA,
which stretches from Delaware to Nova Scotia, including part of
Pennsylvania and New York, as well as Eastern Canada.

What is the SCA?
The Society for Creative Anachronism is a non-profit educational
organization, dedicated to the reenactment and recreation
of the medieval arts and sciences, concentrating on England and
Europe prior to 1600 or 1650.

Want to get involved? If you're new to the SCA, or just new to this area, here are some ways to get in touch with us.

We have lots of events and gatherings you are certainly
welcome to come to: there's a list of them

that sounds fun and come to it!

The first Thursday of each month we hold a Shire business
meeting, which you are welcome to attend if you wish.
The next meeting will be held on
September 2nd ,
starting around 7:00 PM, and you can get directions to where it will be held
here.

Whatever you're interested in: whether it be archery, fencing,
sword-fighting, cooking, woodworking, armour-making, juggling,
you name it, there's a Shire officer in charge of making sure
you can find someone to learn it from. Check out the
Officers List for a all
of our names and offices. If you can't guess what officer would be
responsible for what you're looking for, contact the Chatelaine at

and she'll point you in the right direction.
