The shire went to see "Harry Potter and the Goblet of
Fire" on the first Saturday after it opened. We went
dressed appropriately -- either as characters from one
of the movies, or as "wizards trying to pretend they're
muggles" like they did for the Quidditch World Cup.
Waiting for the rest of the group to arrive, some of us
overheard a whispered conversation between a small
child of about six years old, and his father:
Child (pointing at us): "Are they wizards?"
Father: "Yes, they are."
Child: "Are they here to see the movie?"
Father: "Yes, they are, dear."
I suppose the father knew why we were really dressed
that way, but saying "yes" was just so much simpler
to explain :-)
